What We Do

STAND UP is a movement.

The FOCUS of Stand Up is other Christians, not unbelievers.

The PURPOSE is to encourage Christians to become lovingly bold in speaking about their faith into today’s culture. By seeing other Christians standing up in public and proclaiming Jesus as their King, other believers can become bolder in proclaiming their own faith.

WHY? Because today’s culture is becoming increasingly hostile to Christianity. Christians are being marginalized and isolated. The culture is forcing relativism and rejecting absolutism. But belief into Jesus requires belief into absolutes, as Jesus is The Truth. ONLY by believing into Him can one be saved.

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

It is HOPED that by seeing believers publicly state their faith, non-believers will want to engage in conversation, leading to opportunities to witness to them, but the primary goal is to strengthen believers.

The long-term GOAL of Stand Up is to have a day of proclamation when all believers into Jesus, across the entire nation, will stand up and state in unison that, “Jesus is my King! All the glory goes to Him!”
